Mortlach Cottage was perfect for our Speyside whisky tour. Clean and orderly, with a much-needed washer/dryer. Great location—miles from distilleries, blocks from a grocery store, friendly pub, and delicious Indian restaurant. Not the Ritz-Carlton, but fit our needs perfectly. Recommended for anyone visiting Speyside.
Recommend this hotel.

Mortlach Cottage was clean, orderly, and conveniently located. The washer/dryer was a much-needed bonus. The cottage is close to distilleries, a grocery store, a pub, and an Indian restaurant. The host was responsive and left us milk and biscuits. Beds were comfortable, kitchen well-equipped, and wifi worked flawlessly.
Hard to think of anything.

The location was absolutely mind-blowing in terms of easy access to the area's distilleries. Dufftown is a super quaint town, offering a tranquil and jaw-dropping experience. The cottage itself was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean, with an up-to-date bathroom and a kitchen that blew me away - it was well stocked and had all the cookware and kitchen utensils you could possibly need. The added bonus of on-site laundry facilities was just perfect. The property also provided excellent internet access and had an off-site car park. The comfortable beds, flat-screen TV, and proximity to fantastic outdoor activities like hiking, cycling, and even golf made our stay truly exceptional. I should also mention that the host was so lovely and responsive, ensuring our needs were met. They even left us milk and biscuits - such a thoughtful touch. Lastly, it's worth noting that the property was conveniently located within a short drive to the Aswanley wedding venue and Huntly. a super satisfying experience that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a pet-free and smoke-free haven of luxury.

I had a fantastic stay at Mortlach Cottage in Dufftown. The location was perfect, right in the center of town and close to the Scotch whiskey trail and distilleries. The hotel was easy to access, very clean, and comfortable. The beds were cozy, the kitchen well equipped, and the wifi worked flawlessly. Plus, the host provided us with all the necessary details ahead of time. I highly recommend this hotel for a great stay in Dufftown.
Although the shower was a bit tricky to figure out, it didn't dampen my overall experience. But despite these minor inconveniences, Mortlach Cottage provided a wonderful base for exploring the area.

Loved the convenient location for exploring the whisky distilleries in the area. Just a short distance to many of them, making it easy to enjoy a whisky tour. The presence of a grocery store nearby was a huge convenience. It saved us from having to go too far to get any supplies we needed. The washer/dryer in the cottage was a lifesaver, especially during the rainy weather. We were able to clean our clothes and have them dry quickly, allowing us to continue our holiday without any hassles.
The lack of open cafes, restaurants, and pubs in the area was a major drawback. It made finding a nice drink or coffee, as well as a decent meal, quite challenging.
